HexDataTools is designed with privacy-first principles. We do NOT collect, store, or process:

• Data content (JSON, XML, YAML, CSV, etc.)
• Converted or processed data
• Personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
• IP addresses
• Browser fingerprints
• Usage patterns or analytics
• Login credentials (we don't have user accounts)
• Location data
• Device information

2. How HexDataTools Works

All data conversion and processing happens entirely in your web browser using client-side JavaScript. When you convert data:

• Your data never leaves your device
• No information is transmitted to our servers
• Nothing is stored in databases
• Everything is processed locally on your computer

This means we have zero access to the data you convert or the information it contains.

3. Local Storage

We may use browser Local Storage or IndexedDB for optional features such as:

• Saving your UI preferences (theme, layout)
• Storing your last-used tool settings
• Caching snippets or templates you create

This storage is entirely local to your browser. We cannot access this data. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

4. Information We May Collect

We may collect minimal, non-personal information through standard web technologies:

Analytics Data

We currently do not use analytics services. If we implement analytics in the future, we would only collect anonymous usage statistics such as:

• Pages visited
• Time spent on site
• Browser type and version
• Device type (mobile, desktop)
• Approximate geographic location (country/city level)
• Referral source

This data would be aggregated and anonymized. It cannot be used to identify individual users.

Advertising Cookies

We currently do not display advertisements. If we implement ethical advertising in the future, third-party advertising partners may use cookies to serve relevant advertisements and measure ad performance. You would be able to opt out of personalized advertising.

Hosting Provider

This service may be hosted on platforms like Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, or similar providers. These providers act as data processors and process minimal technical data (such as server logs) solely for security and operational purposes. The legal basis for processing this minimal technical data is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in ensuring security and stability of the service).

Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)

We may use CDNs to deliver static assets efficiently. These providers may temporarily process anonymized technical information (such as IP addresses) for caching and security purposes.

Affiliate Partners

Links to data tools, development platforms, and technical services may include tracking parameters for affiliate commissions.

7. Server Logs and Hosting

Our hosting provider may collect basic server logs including IP addresses, timestamps, and requested URLs for security and technical purposes. These logs are automatically deleted after a short retention period and are never used for tracking or analytics.

Our hosting provider acts as a data processor under Article 28 GDPR and processes minimal technical data (such as server logs) solely for security and operational purposes. These logs are not linked to individual users.

8. Data Security

Because no user data is collected or stored, there is nothing to secure on our side. Nonetheless, we use HTTPS encryption to ensure that all connections between your device and our service are secure.

All data processing is performed locally within your browser, ensuring full control and privacy. Your data security is guaranteed by the fact that your data never leaves your device.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)

For users in the European Union:

• Right to Access: Request information about any data we hold
• Right to Rectification: Correct any inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
• Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured format

Since we don't store user data, most data rights are automatically fulfilled by our no-storage design.

Important: This service does not sell personal information.

HexDataTools is operated from Austria and complies with:

• CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
• LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law)
• POPIA (South African Protection of Personal Information Act)

Since we don't collect your data content, there are no international data transfers of your processed data.

13. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, since we don't collect user data, there would be no user data to transfer.

14. Transparency and Verification

HexDataTools is designed to be transparent. You can verify that all data processing happens client-side by inspecting your browser's network activity - you'll see that no data content is sent to our servers when you process data.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Since we don't collect your contact information, we cannot notify you of changes. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
